Privacy Policy

TV Remote Control for TV Box ("the app") is developed by Mansoor Ahmed ("we", "us").

This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

SUMMARY

The app does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information. There is

no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

None. We operate no servers for this app and receive no data from it.

INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

So the app can work, the following is saved on your iPhone only. It never leaves

your device, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app:

- The name, network address and identifier of the televisions you pair with, and

any custom name you give them.

- A security key and certificate, generated on your device the first time you use

the app and kept in the iOS Keychain. Your television uses it to recognise this

  iPhone as a paired remote.

- Your in-app preferences, such as the default pad, haptics, and the app shortcuts

  you pin.

HOW THE APP COMMUNICATES

The app talks directly to your television over your own Wi-Fi network. Button

presses, text and volume commands travel from your iPhone to your television and

nowhere else. Nothing is routed through us or through any third-party service.

PERMISSIONS THE APP ASKS FOR

- Local Network: required to find televisions on your Wi-Fi network. Without it the

app cannot detect any device. We do not scan for anything else, and no information

about your network is transmitted or stored off your device.

- Microphone: optional, used only while you hold the voice-search button. The audio

is streamed to your television, which performs the search. We never receive,

record, or store it, and the app writes no audio file to your device.

CHILDREN

The app is not directed to children and collects no information from anyone,

including children under 13.

THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE

The app includes Connect SDK, an open-source library used only to discover

compatible devices on your local network, and SwiftProtobuf, a data-encoding

library. Neither is used to collect information about you.

APP STORE

The app is distributed through the App Store. Any download, purchase or crash

information Apple collects is handled under Apple's own privacy policy; we receive

only anonymous, aggregated reports that cannot identify you.

YOUR CHOICES

You can revoke Local Network or Microphone access at any time in iOS Settings.

Removing a paired television in the app, or deleting the app, erases everything

listed above from your device.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new

"last updated" date.
